After being exiled by Jose Mourinho, Pedro has completed his Roma exit with a shock move to arch-rivals Lazio.
According to Gazzetta, the forward makes the unusual transition after Roma released him for free.
His contract with the Giallorossi was due to expire in 2023, but the 34-year-old has agreed to a two-year deal with Lazio worth €2 million (£1.7 million) per year.
Both teams will benefit from the deal, especially Roma, which will save a lot of money as a result of Pedro's departure.
The former Chelsea striker would have cost the Giallorossi another £6.8 million over the next two seasons, and Roma needed to balance their books after being engulfed in debt.
Pedro also waived his August pay, which were owed to him by Roma.
The Giallorossi were adamant about not selling or loaning Pedro abroad since they would forfeit tax benefits worth up to €3.5 million (almost £3 million).
The low-cost acquisition also benefits Lazio, as the Biancocelesti have been unable to sign new players until President Claudio Lotito injects £8.5 million into the club.
The Spaniard just joined Roma last summer after his Chelsea contract expired, but since Mourinho's arrival at the Stadio Olimpico, he has been deemed surplus to needs.
Pedro had been a frequent starter under Paulo Fonseca, appearing 40 times in all competitions and contributing six goals and seven assists.
However, under Mourinho, who was responsible for bringing Pedro to Stamford Bridge in 2015, the forward was shunned and didn't even participate in Roma's pre-season training.
Pedro will reconnect with Maurizio Sarri, another former Chelsea manager, at Lazio.
Sarri might start his new signing against Empoli in their Serie A opener on Saturday.
The most recent crossing of the Tiber occurred in 1981, when Carlo Perrone reversed Pedro's move, switching Lazio for Roma.
Angelo Peruzzi, Sinisa Mihajlovic, and Diego Fuser have all worn both shirts in recent years, but with breaks at different teams in between.
